Why we exist
Europe’s water, marine and maritime (WMM) systems face urgent challenges - from ecosystem degradation and pollution to climate risks and resource scarcity. To secure a sustainable future, we must close skill gaps, drive innovation, and scale impactful solutions across sectors. EIT Water connects Europe’s best minds to tackle these critical issues and accelerate the transition to resilient, circular and thriving water ecosystems.

UK & Ireland Regional Event
This event marks the first UK & Ireland Regional Hub event for EIT Water and will bring together organisations from across the water, marine and maritime sectors, including: 💧 Universities and research organisations 💧Corporates, SMEs and startups 💧 NGOs and investors 💧 Public authorities and policymakers Together, we'll explore the UK's and Ireland's strengths and challenges in education, career development and skills sharing, while identifying opportunities to address these challenges across the water, marine and maritime sectors. Central & Danube Regional Event
Join us as we bring together researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, utilities, startups, educators, and civil society to explore the region’s unique strengths and challenges in the areas of Alpine waters, hydropower, and the water-food-energy nexusand identify opportunities to advance innovation across Europe’s water, marine and maritime sectors. What to expect: - The latest updates on EIT Water - Keynote speeches and panel discussions with leading voices in the water sector - A poster session showcasing research and innovation from across the Region - A World Café session to collaboratively identify regional challenges and opportunities - Ample networking time with peers from the region 🌍 This event is relevant for anyone working in or connected to the water sector – including universities, research organisations, corporates, SMEs, startups, NGOs, investors, and public authorities. Participation is free of charge and online participation is also possible
